Glad to hear your surgery went well!
I haven’t personally used Upneeq, but I’ve read about it helping with eyelid retraction issues. It works by lifting the eyelid temporarily, which sounds like it could be useful for your situation. Since you’re waiting for the other surgery, it might be worth giving it a try to see if it gives you some relief in the meantime.
in reply to: General symptoms and potential remedies #1186810For me, stress and sleep make a huge difference with symptoms. Also, keeping an eye on meds can be key since things seem to change all the time. Don’t worry, you’re not alone in this!
in reply to: trying for a baby after TT, Graves disease #1186809I get the struggle. Since your TSH is good but T4 keeps going up, definitely ask your doc about adjusting your meds. Also, it might be worth getting those antibodies tested again to see if there’s anything off there.
in reply to: Share your Success Story! #1186808I’ve been on my own health journey for a while now, trying to balance my diet with my anxiety treatment. A couple of years ago, I was really struggling with anxiety, and nothing seemed to help. That’s when I turned to cannabis for relief. It made a huge difference in how I manage stress, but I also knew I had to focus on my diet and exercise to support the whole process.
I started with small changes—more veggies, cutting down on processed foods, and adding in yoga for some mindfulness. Over time, I noticed my overall anxiety decreased, and I had more energy. Now, I try to keep a healthy balance between my physical and mental well-being, and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made.
in reply to: Treatment with Tepezza #1186807I’ve been seriously considering Tepezza, but I recently came across some info that gave me pause. Apparently, there have been reports of hearing issues like tinnitus and even permanent hearing loss in some patients after treatment. There’s actually a law firm gathering cases now: https://federal-lawyer.com/injury-lawsuit/tepezza/need-lawyer/.
Not trying to scare anyone, just think it’s something we should all be aware of and maybe bring up with our doctors if we’re thinking about starting or already in the middle of treatment.
in reply to: Men With Graves’ and TED #1186802The journey with Graves’ and TED seems tough, especially when issues like blood pressure or vision problems stick around even after thyroid levels stabilize. Mojon’s frustration with no clear answers and Curt’s mixed results post-thyroidectomy show how unpredictable it can be.
Radiation therapy for TED, like Curt is considering, can help with swelling and double vision, but it’s risky with potential side effects. It’s a tricky balance for sure.
in reply to: Tips for staying cool and staying awake? #1186803I’ve been dealing with similar stuff, and I totally get the exhaustion and heat issues. For the heat, I’ve found that cooling pillows and a fan at night help a lot, especially when I wake up sweating. As for staying awake, I get the same thing, feeling tired no matter how much sleep I get. One thing that helped me a bit was focusing on staying hydrated and making sure I’m eating enough throughout the day. Sometimes dehydration or low blood sugar can make things worse without us realizing it.
Also, have you looked into possible sleep issues like sleep apnea? It could be worth discussing with your doc, as they can mess with your rest without you knowing.
