in reply to: No sleep driving me insane! #1180935thank you so much. im going to try cleaning the house right before bed tonight to c if that helps. ive tried a couple of things like taking a really warm bath b4 bed and it kinda works while im in the bath because i have fallen asleep in the tub lollllll! but as soon as i get up back to tossing and turning and thinking to much. my sis is really into herbals so im going to ask her about something to help me sleep thx. i am a heavy sleeper. i havent talked to my dr about the sleep problems ive always just dealt with it but now its becoming too much for me. this morning a ran out and got a soothing sounds cd im also goin to try that. i also think i will call my dr and tell her the issues ive been having as well.. i really do love this forum because ive been in a fog lately and this helps me think straight.
i hope you are feeling better and im sending lots of prayers your way

20mg methimazole 1x day
60mg propanolol 2x dayin reply to: The treatment options kind of stink. :) #1180914well from what i understand by some of the research ive done is that there is a range that your they go off of when they check your t3 t4 and tsh and if you t3 and t4 are high then your thyroid is probably over active but if there is another reason for your thyroid to be over active you are still hyper. did you also have an ultrasound of your thyroid? and do you have a goiter? and its alway good to get a second opinion i know i did just to make sure.

Sleepless in coloradoin reply to: The treatment options kind of stink. :) #1180912Have you had an uptake scan of your thyroid? And if so if it was enlarge and or had any nodules on it then you get sent to an endo doc and he or she looks over the results of blood work and the uptake scan to confirm the diagnoses. Ive heard of ppl being misdiagnosed with all kinds of different things, thats why it is inportant that they dont just go off of just one test. hope this helps and plzz keep us posted on how you are doing. hope you feel better soon..

i will post an update when i get the results of my mri. it does seem like we are in the same place in this long processes. its nice to have someone to compare notes with and get much needed support.. im sending lots and lots o prayers your way…. Pm me anytimein reply to: The treatment options kind of stink. :) #1180905hi,
you are not alone… ive looked over the treatment options and quite frankly they scare the heck outta me… i am not ready to choose either rai or surgery. i was just diagnosed a month ago and my endo is trying to get me 2 do rai…ive just come to terms with the fact i have gd im still trying to wrap my head around how my life has changed. so i told her i needed to think about it. and she wants to see me bck in 3 months with my answer. i told her i didnt want to do it yet and stick to the meds but she was really pushy…but u have to make the right choice for u…i didnt know it would be this hard or this serious.

Yes i too have chronic migraines and was reffered to a nuero doc. i also was diagnosed with hydrocephelus {i dont know if i spelled that right} in 2009. Sometimes i cant tell some of my symtoms apart thats why it took so long for me or my docs to see what was really going on…it wouldnt hurt to see a nuero doc if you are having migraines often. i just had an mri friday..im waiting for my results..i hope this helps in some way. So happy to know your meds are making you feel better.. that gives me hope that i will feel better soon too…
