My opthalmologist (who does GD research) says that he has found eyes symptoms seem to be worse and persist longer in smokers than non-smokers. Any one else’s doc tell them this? Good luck at quitting!
every book i read now says smoking is taboo with graves, i quit 3 weeks ago been smoking since the age of 15 im going through withdrawl right now , but i think i can do it.
I have had GD for about 3 years and have been smoking for about 6 years. I want to quit very badly but need to know if there is a direct connection from smoking to Graves. My eyes are prominent and it makes me want to quit. Does anyone know? Thanks.
