actually, birds eat a lot
but I know what you mean. Barely eating and weight not budging. You may want to read a book called “Dieters dilemma – eating less and weighing more”. It explains why the body does what it does regarding weight and set point. BTW, did you know that the world health organization puts starvation levels at 1700 calories a day or less? Bit of trivia.
As for your endo, most docs refuse to take a person’s word when it comes to eating. You can have the most detailed log AND reliable witnesses, but the doc will still call you a liar if you don’t lose weight fast enough for him/her. I know a woman who was in the hospital on a very low calorie diet and the doc accused her of having people sneak food into her because her weight wasn’t budging, even tho she wasn’t and the nurses could back her up. You may want to see a nutritionist/dietician for help, rather than an endo or even your family doctor.
If you want to talk more about this, support-group.com has a size acceptance board that is pretty quiet right now and we can chat further there. There is even a dieting support group, just check the list support-group.com has. I’m sure folks there can help also. Or if you want you can drop me an email, I’m always willing to listen and chat.
