I have no idea why the Connecticut group was removed, but, although we had not had meetings in several years, I have been steadily doing phone support, and had directed a lot of patients and even a few doctors to the national organization for information. I also, get phone calls from members who used to attend meetings on a regular basis. Since the only other New England support group seems to be in Maine, this effectively stopped all information to the other five states of New England. I also often get calls from as far away as New York and New Jersey.
