Hi and welcome aboard! I started reading the BB in July. My husband found it for me because I was having some problems due to the treatment I had gone through. I was diagnosed with Graves Disease 3 years ago. I had the RAI on my thyroid and then put on thyroid medication. Everything was going fine until my eyes started acting up last winter.
When I started reading the BB I felt like I walked into the middle of a movie and it took some time to figure out that not everyone had the RAI and that I had lots to learn about Graves Disease. I was very whiny when I first tuned in because I was not feeling good. I wanted to find the answer to my delema and to run back to the doctor and say “SEE!” Well, things did not turn out that way. I now understand that knowledge is power and I am now able to make better choices for myself.
They people that post here seem to be very nice and full of information that they like to share. It is great to read of the personal experiences dealing with Graves Disease. They also offer hope and understanding.

P.S. I wish that I had kept a medical diary on a daily basis so that I could have had a better understanding of what I was going through. oops!
