      While you are correct that there are certain foods which theoretically can interfere with the absorption of levothyroxine (synthroid, levoxyl, or any of the other brands of T4 hormone replacement), there aren’t any foods that we should always avoid, except possibly kelp ( for other reasons). The absorption issue has to do with digestion. Once it is in our blood, the foods have no impact on it. That is why so many pharmacists suggest that we take the pill first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, and wait before eating anything, and take a vitamin supplement later in the day. If we do that, there aren’t any foods to avoid.
