Hi, i was wondering if any of you knew about thyroid testing……i am almost 3 years post RAI and my TSH is still not adjusted….my endo thinks it’s either that i still have a little remnant of thyroid left over or my body’s not absorbing the synthroid correctly and i’ve been taking it the way i’ve been supposed to, without food, etc…….my TSH has been going up and down and all over the place for the last 2 and a half years…..my doc is constantly adjusting my meds and i’m tired of it……..my TSH in June was 1.43, then last month it was 2.51, now it’s 2.05 but my doc decided to do a full thyroid testing…….it seems my T3 is a 99, normal is within 78 – 170 so that was normal, my T4 was 12.0 which is high and my free T3 is high at 11.4 so i am not sure what this means……..does it seem like maybe i still have a remnant or something else…….i’m not sure how to understand this….can anyone with a little expertise help me……i would really appreciate it……my doc is talking about maybe having another dose of RAI and i’m not too excited about that idea……..
