I encouraged a friend who has heart palpitations, fatigue, and shakiness to get a thryoid test run. Her OBGYN was the one who ran the test and told her everything was normal. When I asked her what her numbers were, she had no result for TSH. Is this a valid test? Am I missing something? I mean, can you tell anything without a TSH value? The test has results for T-3 uptake, T-4 total, and Free T4 Index (T7).

Thanks for any clarification. I still am baffled by lab results…
