I was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism by my primary doctor. He has referred me to an endo finally. It took six weeks to get to the referral and as most of you know numerous tests. The first endo seemed to be focused on pumping me with pills (not just for hyperthyroidism) so I am going to another one the first week of July. All of the posts here have helped me immensely to understand what my options could be, what may happen with each option, and the courage not to accept the first specialist at face value. For all of that, I thank all of you who take the time to respond to the questions and concerns, and for the jokes posted here. I am able to read the posts during the week at work, but cannot post from there, so just wanted to give you all a big THANK YOU!! Karen
