I am not an expert on this by no means but I do have a suggestion that may help to releive the pain some. When I get them I wet a towel or rag and put it in the microwavefor a min or so until it is hot and put it where ever the pain is….repeat as needed. It helps to releive the pain and it feels so good!
    Take care!

Is it my eye that’s really my eye hurting or is it in my skull? This is 4 days out of 5 that I can barely stand these headaches? They tend to be worst on my left side (where the TED is most aggressive).

I’ve tried the artificial tears and the warm and cool compresses. They are relaxing but don’t touch the pain.

Any suggestions? I’m going to my new primary care “gp” on Monday. Hopefully she can refer me to ?????

Any headache helpers would be appreciated.

    Thanks Warriors

I am unable to take any nonsteroidals, but found them helpful while I was still able to take them. I am not able to function without pain killers, and was ashamed to admit that I was not “strong” enough to bear my daily pressure/pain. I now tell everyone that I daily take at least a couple of Vicoden, in an effort to dispell the stigma for others with chronic pain. I have gone to a pain clinic, and had both my internist and thyroid doctor tell me it is what I need to do, but still feel embarassed about it. If you need to take something, and none of the other things (drops, gel packs, etc.) enable you to function, then you take whatever you must to keep going. I hope this inflammation burns out soon!
