Hello All,
I just got my blood test results back yesterday and they
are starting to look more “normal.” As I’ve said in my previous posts,
my T3 was always in normal range and T4 rose first. This is backwards.
I was having some major problems dealing with Tapazole because my T3
would go so low. I took 2.5 mg. of Tapazole from January 20-February 26,
at which time I raised it to 5 mg (my doctor is aware of this).
The good news is that while T4 went down, my T3 actually went up. I think
this is why I’m able to tolerate my meds. I don’t know why this finally
switched, but I have been trying to eat proper foods and I cut my caffeine
intake dramatically about 2/20. (10-15 cups coffee down to 3 or less)
Hopefully, now my TSH will start to move. I just got my old records (from
’94) and found my TSH used to be .2, only a little hyper. Now it is .03,
way in the hyper range. I also realized I didn’t drink much coffee then.
I didn’t start drinking more than 2/3 cups per day until last winter. I
was always so cold, I needed something hot. Now, I’m drinking a lot of
decaf tea and herbal teas. Maybe there’s something in these teas?
Wishing everyone a pleasant Saturday.
Linda
