go away for 2 years. however if your TSH levels are normal and you still
do not get any alleviation of symptoms after a few months, you may be
resistant to treatment by T4. T4 is the inactive form of the hormone and
must be activated to T3 to work in your body. Rarely, this does not happen.
Ask your doctor for free T3 tests. You cannot detect this condition with
just a TSH test as that will be normal when you are taking an adequate dose
of synthroid.Anonymous

Still not feeling that great after about 10 weeks of treatment. Side effects of water retention…absent menstruation…necks glands swollen…mental deficiencies (more than usual *grin)…are these normal, or am I even in the right place for a discussion? Thanks for ANY input!

You’ll understand the statement! Almost too tired to type this reply, on syntroid replacement now after having a TOTAL Thyroidectomy 6/26/2000
its an effort to move, even my husband has noticed, { hes thankful in a way} because I’m not in a constant state of movement, and they are having fun with me letting the house go!!! LOL.
But I lost about 21 lbs after surgery…..But here in the last couple weeks I’VE FOUND EVERY ONE OF THEM! lab test came back I needed a n increase, so now I have to be patient, take my meds, and lighten up on my self….and so should you, but let your Doctor know how your feeling because he won’t know if you don’t tell him. And if he’s one that has a hard time hearing! Say it very LOUD! Ellie,Patti,Pam, Kathleen, Hope, and soooo many wwonderful , supportive, caring people here…. and if your feeling dispear , mood swings , even hopless come to the BB. They help me see things Clearly.And know that this is part of getting better, and warning symtoms to alert the Doc about. Also to learn to listen and trust your body, feelings., you have a Dis, and its not all in your head…….It will get better, but being hyper= instant action and now I’m not hyper…..I Still WANT INSTANT ACTION! LOL
Now we get to LAZZZZZZ around like NORMAL people…{just makin a funny}
I wrote the other day….I was ready to give up and Bless all of the loving people that took the time to E-Mail and post on the BB
It looks as though my heart feels better today….hang in there, be good to your self…. hoping for better days ahead……..vicki -
