Calling your doctor to talk about your symptoms, and whether or not there is something that can be done for them, is probably a good idea.

We are more hyper after RAI for a while — there is a natural die off of thyroid cells, and when they die, they release their stored supplies of hormone into the body. But they should not be making “new” hormone, so little by little we go hypo. Since you are feeling no progress in that way, calling to ask your doctor about whether you should do something is more than OK.

Has anyone been in this situation? It has been four weeks since radioactive iodine treatment and I am feeling more hyper than before I took the treatment. Do I just wait until the doctor can see me in July with my blood test results? Thanks! for any help……
