I would be interested in hearing what is discovered to be causing your chest pain. I had horrible chest pain for about 4 weeks…….had to sleep sitting up. No one ever came up with a diagnosis ……..it comes back every once in a while now.

          Steve,

I had the same problems with my heart as you long before I was ever diagnosed with GD. I have been in the hospital several times thinking it was a heart attack. Before they said it was esophogitis (spelling). I was in the hospital two times last fall. Now the doctor seems to think it was brought on by GD.

Had the garden hose about 18 years ago. Can relate to no fun.

          Take care
          Fancy

my endo told me that chest pain was common with GD. she said alot of
people thought they were having a heart attack. i guess it is just…
              another graves thing.

p.s. have your doctor check for MVP(mitral valve prolaspe) the spelling
may not be correct. it also goes along with GD.

              Good Luck

Steve, They gave me pills. Something about the acid in your stomach backing up and burning your esophagus when you sleep. Also, try to raise your head when you sleep.

Told you I went riding on Saturday and feelt great. All week I’ve feelt like I was run over by a Mack Truck. Muscles hurt. I’ll be glad when the weather stays nice so I can ride every day. Maybe then my muscles will get built back up.

Steve, It’s ok, your just totally frustrated. I tried to run one day and I feelt like when you’re in one of those dreams where you can’t move your legs.

I’m sure it’s going to get better. It’s just we all want to get back to “NORMAL”. What ever that is and it makes us impatient.

For two years now my endo has had me on ??? (I guess we cant say it) 50 mg. twice daily. I have continued to get heavier (30 extra pounds on a 120 lb. frame), my knees, muscles, ache and I am basically miserable. I do not have the energy to participate in anything anymore and used to be a happy, vibrant person. When we went to the bookstore last night and my husband had to help me up after I bent over to reach a book from the lower shelf and could not get up by myself I reached a decision. I want control of my life again. My endo has been very non-comittal about my treatment and what we are going to do in the future. I have decied that at my next appointment on June 18 I am going to ask that they use RAI to destroy my thyroid in the hopes of getting my life and body back. Has any one experienced this and am I asking too much?? Please respon as I am desperate.
