      is it ok to eat a spinach salad today or tomorrow before having a thryoid blood test monday. this may sound silly but i cant rememebr where i read it that spinach interferes with the thyroid hormone

        Hi Coco,
        Spinach along with other veggies can lower your thyroid panel but you’d have to eat a ton of them. Im no doctor but i think it should be ok, unless you ate a truck load of them. :)

          I have never been told to not eat, drink anything for a TSH blood test. And, I know nothing about spinach. I do take my Synthroid on an empty stomach and do not take any calcium within 2-4 hours of taking it. It can block absorption. Joy in NoGA mtns.
