    Hi Dan!

So sorry to hear of your recent problems. How soon are you to have the RAI done? Are you currently taking any anti thyroid drugs (ATD’S) ? If not, are they giving you anything along the line of a beta blocker for your racing heart? I know trying to deal with the shakiness is very hard. I would talk to your doctors re: trying to aleviate some of the symptoms in the meantime. I just started on a new calcium channel blocker that so far has really helped. I tried a different beta blocker first, and even on the lowest dose, it worked a little to well. My blood pressure is naturally sort of on the low side, and the meds made it too low. Most doctors want to do some heart tests (like an ECG or an echocardiogram) before they put you on beta blocker meds. Keep us posted!

My symptoms started with my eyes – I hate to tell you how long that’s been going on…..but when the shaking, tachycardia, diarrhea, sweatting, leg aches started – I knew I couldn’t have the flu for months. I was diagnosed about a month ago, and am just starting on meds this week (Thurs!) And to add to it – since we live in a small town – it took 3 days to get the medication up here – if that isn’t ridiculous. Also, leave it to a relative to see the change in the eyes. That happened to me too, even before I noticed it myself.
    Good Luck ~~~ :o)
