Thanks to those of you who responded so quickly to my first post.

    I have new questions:
    1) I am now hyper – and will soon (this week I think) undergo RAI. Right now my body is telling me NOT to exercise, and I am listening. But my brain tells me that exercise is generally good. Should I push past my body, and start exercising now? Should I wait until I am hypo? When is the best time to push myself?

    2) During the winter, I often have many colds. I have been taking echinacea (sp?) to build my immune system. I stopped taking it 2 weeks ago, concerned that my immune system more than a bit confused these days. When may I begin taking it again?

    3) After I am on thyroid replacement stuff, may I again use over the counter decongestants? I guess, my theory is, if I no longer have a thyroid how can I have thyroid disease? Sorry, I’m not asking you to be my doctor or pharmacist; just asking what you have discovered.

Thanks again for your support. I look forward to sharing helpful experiences in the future!

    Hi Sandy,
Good group of people to talk to are your pharmacist..in regards to mixing your medications.
Exercise…..well…. you have to listen to your body. Talk with your doc. Mine advised me to keep my heart rate below 120…..and avoid becoming very tired. It is a individual thing.
    Take care
    Darlene
