I normally don’t share the stupid things I do that are potentially
embarrassing with others, but I laughed out loud today when I
discovered my most recent boo-boo! You fellow warriors can probably
appreciate this story better than anyone.
I was organizing my stuff and getting ready to go to town, which
included completing the grocery list. There on the top of the list
were the words “power tools”. My husband is a cabinetmaker, but I
couldn’t imagine what he needed from the grocery store. When I asked
him what he meant by “power tools” he answered, “I don’t know.
YOU wrote it.” That really threw me for a loop! In the moment of
confusion I didn’t even recognize my own handwriting. Minutes later,
I suddenly realized what we needed…paper towels!! I guess my brain
thought that was close enough. p__er to_ls LOL Geez – either that
was a Graves’ moment (I’m not old enough for senior moments yet), or
I’m turning into one of my students – learning disabled!
It actually felt good to laugh at myself for once, instead of
feeling foolish.
Still giggling, Debby
