So many people have asked if their symptoms are thyroid related so I
thought I’d share some information I’ve read:

      Signs and Symptoms of Hypothyroidism:

      Mood Changes (Depression, Forgetfulness)
Reduced Mental Development and Ability (inability to concentrate)
Hair, Skin & Nails (dry and brittle, loss of hair and eyebrows)
Puffy Face, Headache and/or Dizziness, Thyroid Reduced in Size,
Goiter, Hoarse Voice, Weight Gain, Loss of Appetite, Sensitivity
to Cold, Decreased Perspiration, Loss of Energy or Fatigue, Loss
of muscle tone, Cramps or Weakness, Aches, Pains & Arthritis,
Reduced function of the heart, lungs, digestive system, and
kidney, Elevated Cholesterol, Anemia, Menstrual and reproductive
disorders, Loss of limb strength and sensation and Swollen Ankles.

      Signs and Symptoms of Hyperthyroidism:

Nervousness, Irritability, Trembling hands, Fatigue, Insomnia,
Unexplained weight loss, Palpitations, Heat intolerance,
Increased sweating, Muscle weakness, Hair loss, Increase in
bowel movements, Decrease in menstrual periods, Eye irritation.

As you can see, some of these symptoms may crossover from hyper to
      hypo or vice versa.

I have been reading todays posts – what are the symptoms of hypo – they seem to overlap with hyper. If you are so tired, why would you still be unable to sleep well? Can anyone give me some ideas about what to look for? I have been on ATD’s now I wonder if i am headed in the other direction.
