      Jake,

      Thanks for answering and offering your expertise on this. Sunday was the only day I skipped on the Synthroid and took it first thing this morning. This not sleeping thing is really getting me down, but you are correct in stating that it is probably too soon for the synthroid to be in my system. I’ll continue on with it long enough to know if it is going to work for me. This too shall pass! Thanks again!

        I wish just one pill would fix it! But, unfortunately for us, it does not. I was told to expect 6-8 weeks before a dose of Synthroid would be metabolized enough to show up on bloodwork. It is a very, very small dose. And, usually, by the time we are diagnosed and hypo, we are very sick people. So, easy does it, kiddo! This disease has a way of making us patient (even though we don’t like it). Whatever you do, don’t stop taking it without doc’s orders or you will get a whole lot sicker!! Joy in NoGA mtns.
