Saw your message and wanted to let you know I’ve had this same headache, along with my teeth aching for months, and now I finally have some relief. I had been scheduled for physical therapy because of my osteo arthritis and the therapist there gave me a nutritional supplement called, OPC-3 which is a isotonix formula that contains 25mg. of grape seed extract, pycnogenol extract and bilberry extract. Its a grape flavored vegetarian product and mixes with water. I had the RAI 8 months ago and was still feeling terrible. Supposedly the pamphlet on this stuff says it Improves circulation and cells, reduces swelling of legs, improves vision acuity, helps sluggish memory, reduces strss, improves joint flexibility and fights inflammation in arthritis, strengthens capillaries, arteries and beins and reduces diabetic retinophy. I really wasn’t sure what it would do but after three weeks on this my hands are no longer swollen all the time, my memory is so much better, (I’m still on beta blockers) and that constant headache is gone. I lost track of how many doctors I’ve gone to with this graves. I was even stupid enough to think after the RAI my headache would go away. I don’t know if anyone else has this memory problem, but at work it was hard to concentrate, now I’m at least 75% better. My eyes were always a mess and even they are getting clearer and not sensitive to the light at all. I went to the eye doctor 1 month ago and complained about the sensitivity to light and the pain in my eyes, he gave me some eye drops and sunglasses. What a guy! Well, I guess I’m going on too long about this, but I am so happy that something is finally working.
AnonymousOctober 2, 1997 at 12:21 pmPost count: 93172It’s now been six months since I’ve been taking this food supplement called OPC-3 pycnogenol and this
stuff WORKS. I just can’t keep quiet about this stuff any longer. I can’t begin to tell how bad I was off after
the RAI treatment. I had an extremely high dose and six months later I still felt like as my mother from Maine
would say “death warmed over” , with the infections, colds, fevers, extreme tiredness, muscle cramping,
extreme headaches everyday, depression, etc. etc.I started taking this isotonic supplement that a dr had suggested in March and within 3 weeks saw dramatic
results. I didn’t want to say anything until I knew a few other people with GD were taking it and had the
same results. I haven’t gotten a cold or been sick since March and I am no longer taking naps during the
day or feel like I am completely wiped out at times. I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis a few months after
the RAI and I was in alot of pain from this arthritis condition and even that has gotten alot better. I am
putting together some testimonials from other people with GD that are taking this and if you want I’ll send
them to anyone that wants the info. If anyone wants more information, they can e-mail me.AnonymousOctober 2, 1997 at 10:53 pmPost count: 93172Colleen,
I started with the OPC and then ran out.
I thought I might give it a try again for a more appropriate period.
There are some other things it is supposed improve also.
I would like more information. I am pleased to learn it is helping your GD. -
