Hypo is usually considered the opposite of hyper, and for a lot of the symptoms, it is. Fatigue — well, what can I say. That is common to both. I felt — or imagined? — that the fatigue from hypo was of a different sort, however. My body was worn out when I was hyper. Getting up and moving, exercising made it worse. When I was hypo, getting up, moving and exercising woke me up, energized me. That was the main difference I could see.

As for other symptoms (from THE THYROID SOURCEBOOK) –
The pulse can slow way down
    Cold intolerance
Constipation, hardening of stools and bloating. Sometimes heartburn can result.
Fingernails become brittle and develop lines and grooves.
Hair may become thinner, dry and brittle. Sometimes there is hair loss.
    Your cholesteral level could rise
    Muscle aches and cramps.
    Skin becomes dry and coarse
    Poor memory and concentration.
It is easier to gain weight when our thyroid hormone levels get into the hypo zone, due to slower metabolism

I have not been hypo for many years. Does poor sleep go with this and night sweats? I have been having major problems with my stomach and weak muscles, but you would think as worn out and tired as I feel , I would sleep for hours. Can you give me some feedback , I am FRUSTRATED big time. Almost too tired to sleep.
