Whether what you are feeling is due to the synthroid, only a medical examination could tell you. But can synthroid make you have hyperthyroid symptoms? You betcha. In a book I got from the American Thyroid Association, the causes of hyperthyroidism: “Hyperthyroidism is caused by an excess of thyroid hormone. Most often this is a result of the thyroid itself producing too much thyroid hormone. But it can be caused by an overdose of thyroid hormone medication.

I started to quote from the book, then remembered Jake’s warning about copyrights, mentioning brand names, etc. and changed it mid-way. I decided to “clear form” and completely fix it, and hit “post message” instead. So, despite the initial quote sign, that was NOT a quote.
Now, what was I reading about hypothyroidism inducing klutzyness?????

Yes, I have been on levoxyl (like synthroid) for 10 months now
and I have felt everything. There have been times when I had the
rapid heart beat and anxiousness and I was sure that I was taking
too much and that I was hyper again. My blood tests showed that I
was actually hypo again and that I needed to increase my dose.
It’s really wierd. My road has not been easy since I still don’t
know what the best dose is for me. But I think everyones experience
is a little different. Hope this was helpful.Mona

Australia and the I find the heat intolerable – I’m always thirsty –
my hands get that rash the other people were talking about under Skin
topics. Sometimes I know I’m too talkative as I was when hyper and few
other problems as well don’t want to go on and onnnnnnnnnn!!Any other people the same??
AnonymousDecember 20, 1996 at 7:50 pmPost count: 93172I was wondering if anyone has ever sometimes felt some of the symptoms of being hyper when they are taking synthroid. Is this possible? I thought once I had the RAI and starting going hypo that this was going to be an easy road.
Like to hear your thoughts.
