    The test she is referring to is called a TSI blood test and it messures the amount of thryoid stimulating antibody. My guess is that most doctors don’t run it right away.

    I don’t know about the uptake scan, but I do know that there is an antibody blood test that can be run to tell you for certain that you have Graves’. I had it run because I held out some hope it wasn’t Graves’ at one point (okay, call it denial).

    Anyway, your endo may have already run that, but certainly talk with your endo.

    Maybe I’m being optimistic, but I’d think a normal uptake could be a good sign. Some people actually go into remission spontaneously (few, very few) or maybe your ATD’s got you into remission? It’s a hopeful thought, though not based on scientific evidence:-)
