Steve, I am sorry you are having such a bad time. I had RAI three weeksago and within two weeks was back to square one with hyper symptoms. Some people don’t understand why you can’t make long range plans, butyou don’t know how you are going to feel tonight, let alone two weeksfrom now. Are your meds being really closely monitored? Are you takingmeds at the best time for them to help or are your meds fighting eachother if you are taking them together. When my doctor gave me my eighthprescription, I jokingly said “one of these days all these pills aregoing to just blow up in my stomach”. He then said some meds should betaken at specific times and some shouldn’t be taken at the same time. The bothersome thing is that if I hadn’t said anything – would he?Hang in, you will feel better. I am completing my fifth year with thisdisease and the bad times come and go. Take care.

My eye doc has said one thing to me in several years that made a realdifference. During a depressing stage when they did radiation treatmentsfor a second time, he said you are going to have good days and reallybad days. Don’t let the bad days get to you, a good day will follow.Granted the bad days seem to clump together more than the good days, but that thought kept me sane more than once. During really bad timesI would try and think about how it was only one of the bad days andthings would be better. Don’t feel you have to respond. I know somedays it is an effort to even think. You will get better, even if it’shard to believe that sometimes.
