    Linda,
I to have had times of hypo-glycemia. I have found if I eat every 2-2 1/2 hours things seem level. If I eat to much sugar and not enough of the right carbs and protein my levels crash. I get very shakey, hot, sweaty and overall feel horrible. Luckily I have not had an episode in a long time as I am very aware of what I need to do. Diabetes runs on both sides of my family so I am hoping it never becomes an issue for me.

    Hi Katie,

My last lab was six weeks ago and I was normal, feeling great. I started feeling symptoms again a week ago when I got tensed up while getting dental work. I don’t know if getting tenses up has anything to do with Graves’ when we don’t have thyroid or if it’s just timing. I’m also sleepy during the day which explains why I shut the door to the file room at work today and took a cat nap on the floor! The hip jabbing pain comes and goes no matter how I’m feeling. When my knees and shoulder hurt I feel more alarmed because it was such a big symptom of being hyper for me. I am not scheduled for another blood test until July but I got one from my regular doctor today. I had been feeling so good and hope to get back that way. I keep remembering Bobbie saying something about getting there (at normal) is one thing, staying there is another.

I too do not have full range of one of my legs. The therapist I was going to said it is because my glutes aren’t firing correctly (the butt’s not helping the thigh). To correct the problem I’ve been taught glute exercises while avoiding many of the thigh exercises for a while.

About the antidepresant. I’ve mentioned many times that I signed up for the well known P drug in the beginning. After it kicked in (6 weeks for me) and started helping, the response from people who know me was, “you’re your old self again.”

So, I still feel MUCH better without a thyroid than I did with one and that’s a good thing.
