I am now on .125 of synthroid. It took almost exactly 1 year to stabalize my synthroid. I have been on .125 since June. I don’t think that uch of my thyroid is going to come back to life anymore. I am just assuming that though, because I no longer have to see the specialist. I think that the doctors know what they are doing, but I also know how discouraging it can get. I used to just about cry at every appointment because it wasn’t getting figured out! Hang in there. It will get better. Letme know if you have more questions or just wanna talk! –Jodi

You guys seem to all be young enough to be my kids. I’m a 53 year
old woman (with two ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL grandchildren) diagnosed 9/96.
Is there anyone out there who is my age or are you “All My Children?”
If you are “All My Children” that’s o.k. — I’ll just mother you along
on your journey and you can all treat your old surrogate mother here with
compassion. Bye for now — you’re all just terrific.

No mom, most of us are your age here! This is actually a disease that happens more in the 40’s.
