Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Yes – you are supposed to beable to have radiation treatments only once. However, my eyes weresuch a mess that they decided to do it a second time. Ten treatmentseach time. In between the treatments I had my first decompressionsurgery. The second eye was done after the second round of radiationtreatments. Depression was a real problem during this time, but Ithink at least some of it was due to the massive doses of steroids(80 mg) I was taking along with the PTUs. Anyway it’s over, I had RAI a littleover a week ago and feel okay so far. Even my eye doctor said I hadseen hell and come back. You’ll be okay too.

Hi Joanne, Thanks for the good luck. I am leaving in about half an hour. Just thought I would check the board while I am waiting for my husband to pick me up. I am a little mixed up as you said you had radiation twice. I was told when I had my consultation that you can only have it once on your eyes. The treatment period is ten consecutive treatments but after that is over I cannot have radiation on my eyes again. I’ll try to remember to ask today. My memory is not that good these days. Talk to you later. SAS

In rare cases they do a second course of radiation, they considered doing it on me but would have wanted me to go to somewhere like Stanford for the second treatment.
