I completely understand the reluctance based on the permanence of RAI. That played in my mind, too, when I was weighing options. Not that I HAD options for long (I had an allergic reaction to PTU). No, what I don’t understand is the tendency for folks to take THE most pessimistic numbers for RAI, while taking THE most optimistic numbers for antithyroid meds or alternative therapies that are totally unsupported with scientific evidence. Or maybe we all do that once we’ve settled on our own treatment of choice? I don’t know.
I’m really glad to hear that you are in remission at this point. YAH!!
