If your friend has a problem sleeping, and is taking his hormone replacement at night, it might help him to sleep better if he tried taking it in the morning. It may not make a difference to some people, but it is something to try.

As far as diet goes, I am not any kind of authority. I just muddle along like the rest of the world on that issue. I do know one lady with Hashimotos, and a horrible weight problem. I don’t know what diets she may have tried, but she seemed to get the most positive results by walking. I would see her every morning when I took my walks. I forget how much weight she said she had lost, but she walked about an hour both morning and night and was really pleased with the results.

Sorry I cannot be more help.
