Thanks for the support. I don’t think my co-worker meant to be a jerk, but did in fact say what she said out of ignorance. I think I can try to explain to them about Graves’ Disease until the cows come home, and they would still think I was just making excuses for myself. To me, that is the hardest thing about the disease, even harder than feeling physically bad all the time, the fact that I don’t think anyone believes me when I say my behavior is caused by the disease. I don’t think anyone believes me at all.
