Hi Karen! I agree that the Vikes always seem to do worse when we pay attention to them, but I’ve been loyal to them since I was a kid – can’t change now!! :) What part of Minnesota are you from? I’m in the SW corner of the state, between Mankato and Worthington.

Back to Graves’ – How long since your diagnosis? Any surgeries yet?

It’s snowing in the Northland. Have a great day! Debby

          Hi Debby & Karen

I, too, am originally from Minnesota (Minneapolis) but for the past six years have lived in Los Angeles due to my husband’s job. Just wanted to share – I went to an eye doc here at UCLA that specializes in Graves’ Disease Ophthamology. He told me that for some unknown reason Graves’ Disease is far more prevalent in the Midwest than anywhere else. Yea Vikes.

Hi Patty! It’s wonderful to hear from fellow Minnesotans – seems like most of the people posting are from California or Florida area. I guess even the cold winters don’t keep Graves’ away. So, I wonder if being Swedish has anything to do with it?? :)

Don’t you miss the snow-filled Christmases?

              Debby
