SAS, I hope little Bridgette gets better very soon. Our pets mean
so much to us. I also agree that stress worsens the eye disease.
Since moving, with the stress of finding a new doctor and worrying
about the medical options here, or lack there of, my eyes have been
hurting terribly. Seems I can’t do anything to make them feel better.
    Good luck with Bridgette.

    Love, Shannon

Wow – I know stress hurts any disease but I am sure finding out. Our little miniture Dachshund has a back/neck problem. She is in so much pain. She started on Prednisone yesterday and has just been sleeping since Saturday night. The vet said we have to get her up to walk at least twice a day to see if her back legs are stable as if they are wobbly it could be the start of paralysis. They were going to keep her at the vets but felt we could deal with it. We are to watch her very very carefully and if there are any changes get her up there immediately. She yelps wildly if she moves her head down. we have to try to get her to eat and drink a bit by holding the food up for her. Yesterday she had a shot for pain and when we got her home she was just shaking and staring. This is so hard for me. We got her nine months ago today as a two year old and she has been a big part of my support and comfort during my Graves’ eye disease. In the last few days my eye has started trobbing again as well as weeping. I feel so weary but can’t fall asleep because I want to watch over and talk to Bridgette. If she gets through the next three or four days she should be OK. We have to cut her food back again. The lady that had her before us really overfed her and that is not helping this problem.

I think I just needed to talk. Thanks for listening. SAS
