I went to the opthalmologist about this and she said it was due to irritation of the eye and is also a condition of people with severe allergies. She said the Grave’s Disease likely caused the irriation to the eye (possibly through dryness) which caused the membrane inflamation and separation. Anyway, she said it was nothing to be concerned about and to continue religiously using the moisturizing eye drops.
