OKAY what do you call it when the blood is no longer full
up of antibodies …. and the thyroid is not hyper active
because it is no longer under attack? You no longer need to take
antithyroid because you don’t over make it yourself?

The folks who have RAI don’t have as much thyroid to cause hyperness
and eventually might have to take synthetic thyroid hormone, but what if,
after time during which they were protected from raging hyperness
so they are still with us..their increased self care or maybe just because
results in the immune system not making ( this is measurable in the blood)
the antibodies anymore…what would you call it? Now they are in
remission and need supplemental thyroid hormone, right?

there is another R word..relapse…some people also have that,
but remission is a medically documented reality. Some doctors are as
    scary as the disease.
I thought I was going to be quiet tonight as I read the rest of these posts…but that one
(or three posts on this subject..got to me)
By the way…I hope I am remission bound. Hope you all are
too, one way or another. It is a hard trek. Jeannette
