I cannot remember the last time I slept thru the night!
      I wake about 2:30 a.m to 3:30 a.m. and then every
20 minutes after that. I get my deepest sleep when
it is time to get up. I have trouble surfacing from sleep and just about
drag myself into the shower. Sometimes I don’t even open my eyes until I am
out of the shower. I feel so dragged out that I could lay right
down anywhere and go to sleep. I am on a mild sleeping pill .
I can take 1 or 2 but it seems I need something in between.
one is not enough and 2 drag me down.
Some people dream about winning the lottery but I would pay money to
have a full 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep!!!

Thanks for your replay. I’ve been reading about it and I think
there may be a logical explanation for the RLS among GD
sufferers. It seems that the latest research on RLS has found that
there is a lack of serotonin among those afflicted. Since serotonin
is only manufactured in the body during rapid eye movement or
deep sleep, it makes sense that this could be a side effect of the
GD as we tend to be chronic insomniacs – at least that’s been the
case with me anyway, even after two rounds of RAI, I still have
trouble sleeping about 6 out of 7 nights. Anyone else have any
        input about this? Luci
