Hi Trish! It’s been almost seven years since I had RAI. My last blood tests showed me in the normal ranges for TSH and Free T4. I also take Synthroid daily.
Although I never had severe hypo symptoms after RAI, I have been on many different mg dosages of Synthroid throughout the years. I think over the years your body gradually adjusts to the lack of or absence of your thyroid, so your medication needs to be adjusted accordingly. Even with normal TSH levels, I still have my off days. Such is life – with or without GD!
