Are there success stories for RAI? Sure! Hundreds of thousands of them. Why don’t you read about them on the Internet? The answer is simple. We offer support groups. Those how received treatment and never had a problem don’t stop to find a support group and post how well they feel. They simply do not need support they are doing fine.
I had RAI and I did fine. Took longer than I wanted to get stable but in the long run, I have Graves’ and life is good. If I had it to do over again I would have had the thyroidectomy only because I think I would have gotten stable faster that the two years it took my thyroid to die and changing doses often.
