      Hi Kate, yes, the pain and trobbing is pretty normal. What Debby suggests is what I would have said. And as others have said and I repeat – make sure your Ophthalmologist is well versed in Graves Eye Disease. You should be seeing him/her often. I went every three weeks or so and was told if there were any changes to come in immediately. I had a CT scan early, this is how they tell if the muscles are getting close to pressing against the optic nerve. In my case they were and I had to start other treatments. I think an early CT scan is important but then being Canadian I don’t pay for it. In any case you are dealing with YOUR eyes so it is important to be under the care of a good doctor who knows the disease and with whom you can communicate.
