I always thought a cool cloth too but it just didn’t help so I started using a warm cloth and not only did it work but it felt better when I was doing it. I guess the idea is to get the blood flowing through the area to get the lyphatic fluid moving that’s built up in the area. It sort of makes sense when I think of it that way. Many types of Homeopathy and physio also works on the same principal. Get blood to the area and it “cleans and heals” the area. Make sense now?

I find that alternating hot and cold cloth applications, always ending with cold
both stimulates the area and helps drain fluids, but then closes
it down by ending with cold. I even did this camping…boiled the water on the fire,
running in circles to avoid the smoke, and then the brrr cold water
    was very available…

By the way, Carol Anne regarding your salt water up the nose
out in the ocean nasal “cure”…you realize that means you
are a “rip (tide) snorter”? I kind of thought you might be,
it is all those kiwi’s you been eating.

Other than extreme light sensitivity, my vision isn’t yet a problem, but my usually puffy eyes are puffing more than ever. Diuretics used to help but no longer do. Has anyone found any cosmetic products or natural tricks that help?

    Hi,
A couple of things to try are:
    (1) A gel mask you keep in the freezer or
refrigerator, which can be purchased at the
    local pharmacy.

    (2) sliced cucumbers which are inexpensive and
    are very soothing.

    (3) cooled tea bags, placed on the eyelids.

Also try to drink lots of water and try to avoid
salt. Salty foods or MSG products seem to worsen
    the puffiness.
