Carol Anne, after reading your serenity, courage and wisdom message last night, I was so inspired. I hope to hold the mirror up to you today and remind you that you ARE a warrior, and that you are your own boss, in that you are the only one who can stand up and take care of YOU. Rembember the serenity prayer: God grant me the serentiy to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. My prayers are with you. Feel free to email me if you’d like. Do something nice to nourish your soul and body today. Just ask in your heart of hearts what you need & give it to yourself. Tomorrow’s another day! With love, Sharon

AnonymousApril 23, 2001 at 9:59 amPost count: 93172The first step I am going to take is to talk with my endo to find out what he thinks I should do. I’m not sure why I got so sick from the first RAI treatment, hopefully he will be able to help me answer that. Also, to Bobbi, regarding trying to educate my supervisor on Graves, she has Graves!!!! That is the worst part of this whole thing! When I was first diagnosed with Graves, she wasn’t working here at the time. She started here about 6 months ago and I just found out recently that she also has Graves (has had it for 10+ years). I was so relieved when I found out she also has Graves. But now I get this slap in the face from her! This is the part that makes me so upset. You would think she of all people would understand, but she doesn’t (or she just doesn’t care). And I do work in a very large company (we have 4 offices throughout the US, the one I’m in is the biggest with 200+ employees), so I’m sure we are covered by the ADA rules. So, again, thank you all so much for your replies and advice. I will be sure to keep you all posted as to what happens.
