Morning Renee,
I still love that nick you use, what with being previous bassett owners ourselves(we had 2)! We have spoken in the past about neurological “disturbances” with Graves’ disease. A gal in our local support group experienced these and her doctor prescribed a drug for her that Diabetics use for nerve damage. Off hand, I do not remember the name of the drug, although I believe both Jake and DianneW have mentioned it in the past. Please run a search on it.
You may wish to ask the doctor about this. I know our local gal said it really did help her.Keep us posted how you make out and also about your eye surgery. If we know when it is, we usually email you a little something.
Best Wishes,
Jan

Tell me about your Basset hounds! We have two sisters (littermates) who are 5. Along with our 5 kids, they’re our precious babies. I love them dearly. We’ve had a couple of males at different times in the past, including a Basset/shepherd mix. He had a basset body and a German shepherd coat/color. He was an angel. But our females are the best ones we’ve had.
At one time, my doc prescribed Nortryptilene, I don’t know if that’s what you were talking about. I haven’t taken it in a long time, and the symptoms have subsided after 3 years. I probably won’t have the decompression till mid fall sometime.
Take care,
ReneeMorning Renee!
Nortryptilene, I believe that is the name of the drug I was referring to yesterday. So, you had pretty good luck with it? I now the tingling fingers can get to you. I get them myself.
As for the bassetts, we no longer have them((), but now have 2 collies. Our bassetts were sweeties and we miss them(their personalities are great). Had a male and then later on, adopted a female from the humane society. Funny, but I told Jake just the other day that I’d love to have another one day. If we get one more animal now, we’ll need a zoo permit, though! LOL!!!
Have a great one!
