It’s great that GD will have a “face” and “voice”. My concern is that it will be glossed over with the “one little pill a day” happy ending. Since I’ve had GD I have seen about three magazine articles about GD and none of them went into any real explanation of symptoms, time frames or after effects from RAI. All of them ended with “one little pill a day” happy ending. Also on TV I saw the olympic runner interviewed. Same happy ending. These articles/interviews don’t do a whole lot to help people understand what we really go through, let alone doctors. Who wants to go on national tv and talk about bowel problems? Guess it will give us ligitimacy anyway. Didn’t mean to be negative and hope he/she makes big splash.
