the eyeball bulges some of the orbital fat is pushed out as there is no room
in the eye socket. I just had blepharoplasty surgery 2 weeks ago to remove
the fat pockets around my eyes. The results are excellent, however this is
a cosmetic procedure and does not relieve the dry sore eyes but it does
make one feel better about themselves when they look somewhat normal. The fat has to be soft which usually happens after the eye disease has sub-
sided. I had the surgery about 22 months after I first had the eye problems.Hope this helps.

I’m so self conscience even though people tell me they can’t tell. I know they can, I can. Can you tell me more about your surgery? I just moved to NC and had to find a new thyroid eye dr. I finally found one and have an appt on 4/17. My old doctor where I used to live had suggested some type of surgery to make me feel better about myself, but he didn’t elaborate and then I moved. What do you suggest? I just can’t believe how self conscience I really am. What did your lids look like before and after. You can respond via my e mail if you wish. I will be gone until Sat., but will be on later tonight also. Thanks in advance for any advice you might offer, I appreciate any input. Kathie
