      Hi Jerry,

      I also find this an interesting observation and I am curious to see if others have noticed something similar. Also interesting that you mentioned SAD because I do feel that I have suffered from that the past two winters but I wasn’t sure if I could attribute it to being hypo. I believe SAD is “real.” So far this winter I have not had the sense that I have been suffering from SAD (emotionally I feel wonderful!). I did however begin taking T3 (Cytomel) this year in addition to my Synthroid and I believe that has helped me in that respect. Overall I feel great, just very very incredibly tired (and freezing!!!) all the time. Thanks so much for responding!!

        Interesting observation on your part. Very well could be.
        I’m only 3 years post-RAI so I don’t have enough history on myself yet, but I’ll bet that you are right. Pressures from the holidays might not help either. SAD is thought by many to be “real” – I can’t tell that either.
        Sounds like we might want to do a survey or somethin’.

        Glad you brought this up. I hope that others respond one way or the other.
