This article doesn’t really disturb me much. The article had to do with radon gas specifically; not being a scientist, I don’t know how much you have to extrapolate to get to RAI. Obviously, there are concerns with exposing oneself to any radioactivity — it’s not something I take lightly. However, it seems like there has been a lot of research on RAI specifically that shows that it’s a very safe procedure. If I had any concerns about the safety of RAI, I’d probably choose surgery as a long-term solution for Grave’s. However, I think that the surgery sounds much riskier than RAI.
