I did not know such a thing even existed – graves disease on the internet
that is. I fight the battles with this disease in my 7 yr old grandson.
I swear it almost killed him before I finally found a doctor smart enough
to realize he wasnt just hyperactive – he was sick! Poor little kid. Now
his heart rate is finally normal – was 143 beats per minute at rest – he
never slept and was so skinny. He’s grown so much – over 4’8″ tall now –
he is beginning puberty and is still in the first grade. What is the long
term prognosis for this little boy? This first year has been awful.
The medication PTU really saved his life. How long will he stay on it?
