I have wondered about the ENT too. I know a good one. Both my kids had to have tubes put into their ears.

My opthal. insisted that TED wouldn’t effect the ears but I don’t feel that he is very up on TED at all.

I wonder if it would be noticeable from a CAT scan?

I doubt it’s TED-caused. It sounds like an ear infection or TMJ. TMJ does not always hurt in the jaw, but it can effect the ears dramatically. One GP I had said TMJ and ear infections tend to accompany each other alot. They feed on each other. if you can take a decongestant, try that and an anti-inflamatory for the pain. Also, try warm compresses against the sore area with a damp washcloth for 20 minutes on, 20 min off, 20 min on, etc. See if that helps. Make an appointment with your dentist as soon as possilbe to have him check your jaw for TMJ. You shoudl also see your GP immediately to have your ears checked. Middle and Inner ear infections are sometimes harder to catch early and can do more equilibrium and hearing damage.
