Hi Jake, as Bruce says the radiation treatments are no big deal. I did feel tired after but not everyone does. Also the radiologist said to expect tiredness from being on the Prednisone before, during and hust after the treatments. I had my treatments at our Cancer Clinic and one of the things I felt while in the waiting room each day was grateful that my treatments should eventually help my eyes return to “normal”. Most of those other patients were not that lucky. We eye warriors know from listening to Debby that it does get better and attitude throughout the journey will make the difference. I think we all get sick of doctors appointments, waiting rooms, tests, waiting for results etc. and it’s hard sometimes not to get frustrated and vent – I know because I do it. But being warriors we hang in there – right. Good luck and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi Bev, Eye radiation does not correct the double vision. I had mine five months ago and when I am tired or stressed my double vision gets very bad. My Opthal waits for a six month stabilization period and then will be discussing strabismus surgery for the double vision. Are you being checked regularly by your Opthal? It’s very important to mention every slight change in vision. Little differences may not seem like much to you but it can help your doctors a lot. Hang in there. It’s a long journey but it does get better.

Hi Joanne, I completely agree with your comments about being sick from eye stress – this last year I have been sooo tired with little energy. I know it is because I’m using my eyes all the time even though they hurt and feel strained especially on bright days and are blurry with double vision. We have to use our eyes or cop out of life completely – and that takes energy – too much energy these days.

Wishing everybody a good week, take care and keep smiling (even the eyes look better when you are smiling!) SAS
